The most twisted national DJ battle ever concocted!

In 2006, weary of the corporate competitions the DJ battle scene had to offer, 1995 DMC World Champ, Roc Raida didn't complain like some namby-pamby. He made up his own battle!

Roc Raida's Gong DJ Battle is so maniacal, so exacting, that only the most bravehearted of DJs will enter. It's raw head to head battle action combined with pure hilarity.

Not only did Raida invite the most battle scarred DJ alumni to man the gong as judges, competitors are subjected to the ranting and inside jokes of Lord Sear; instigation from Lord Finesse; rumpus making by hype man DJ FatFingaz plus DJ Boogie Blind chiming in with timely samples to further add to the ruckus.

You never know who will show up and what will go down at a Gong DJ Battle! Don't miss it!

THE WAY THE GONG DJ BATTLE THROWS DOWN

ELIMINATIONS:
Each DJ has only one minute to showcase the talent that is going to keep him/her in the battle. Only 8 DJs selected by the judges can advance. The rest will probably get gonged... Any DJ from anywhere in the world can enter. Just show up the day of to register for the battle by the time doors open. Bring your needles, slipmats, headphones, cords, records, control vinyl, serato boxes, laptop stands, whatever you need!

SUDDEN DEATH ROUND:
Each of the 8 DJs will go head to head for only one round of 90 seconds each until 4 are left standing.

WHO'S GONNA TAKE THE WEIGHT?:
The top four DJs take it back to the wheels for two rounds of 90 seconds each in their struggle to continue on in the competition. Only two DJs are going to be able to handle the whole weight.

DO OR DIE FINALS:
Two DJ contenders will now face the biggest challenge of the whole battle - going head to head for 90 seconds each for a total of three rounds! Creativity-wise, this is very demanding, for a DJ, as he/she must be able to have fresh routines and the all out skills to take on anything the other DJ has been saving! The last DJ standing will win prizes and be named the winner of that heat and will go on to the finals.
