Comments from Symatic:
It took a few re-watches to apply some battle rules to really choose these, but i thonk i got it down finally :))
I tried to keep a range of musicality, variation, flow, creativity, and "what it would sound like live" to judge.
AKA just edged it with a wide range of styles and flow, the drums were nicely done with lots of pitching and flavour, even if they could have been louder. I almost didn't give him variation points with so many whips/tears but he used them effectively and switched up just in time.
Chmielix defended super well but didnt quite have the aggressive edge AKA had - a couple of missed clicks would be my harshest criticism. I loved the Normaldo/NMCP tribute but had to avoid judging it as I'd be too biased!
Vazee was incredibly tight and loads of styles, but I couldn't justify giving him any extra bonus points as he mostly scratched AHHH, even though he did it brilliantly, I feel originality and progression is as much a part of a scratch battle as raw technique.
C-Hell - great routine, I loved the musicality and the setting although I can't judge the video aspect it was a really nice touch.
DamDanny nearly lost some points for being too short compared to the others but he packed a solid punch and on re-listens it really stood out.
Kaito was very clean and a nice routine, it sounds quite "safe" though, I wanna hear him cut when he's really pushing it and vibing.
YulDJ put in a dope video with lots of flow and variation, it just didn't have that "on the edge" feel to it that would bump him up a few points - if it was live i think this set would need more energy to it to stand out ahead.
Kodac - its hard for me to judge as I love his flow so I try not to be biased, but having said that I felt there could have been more variety to edge it up above the others, also it just cut out at the end which lost a potential point for structure/musicality.
Samu didnt have the level of clean and aggressive cuts he brought to the elims this time, but a solid set still, another guy I wanna hear when he's buzzing off the scenario.
Felix - similar to Samu - he had a little less "edge" this round compared to elims, some great tech and variation, but it sounded a little like he was cutting Over the beat rather than With the beat if that makes sense. hard to criticize but that's what we're here to do so I'm being picky.
PrimoKTZ - had to rewatch a few times to really decide where he stood, but ultimately I felt there were a few repetitions and a little bit of lost energy here and there. another tough one to position cos it was a decent entry, up against some tough competition.
