 2023 DMC/SMF Scratch Battle at Sample Music Festival Berlin powered by TECHNICS

July 28 + 29, 2023

Any DJ can enter the competition. No online entries. Every competitor must be physically present. The champion of this battle will advance to the 2023 Technics DMC World Scratch DJ Championship/ 

Elimination Round (1 minute routine)  on July 28th @ 8pm 

Finals (2 minute routine) on July 29th  @ 8pm 

House of Music Berlin / Revaler Strasse 99 / 10245 Berlin

Live Stream: via DMC & Sample Music Festival Facebook channel - date and time to be confirmed. 

The DMC/SMF Scratch Champion will automatically advance to the DMC World Scratch Final taking place online. The champion does not have to enter the World online elimination round and will compete with a 2 minute Scratch routine (any equipment). Their final round (2 minute) is due on Monday, September 18th.

Rules:

Showcase style, vinyl only on turntables and a mixer. Competitors perform a 1 minute. DJs can use any beat they chose. 

Judges choose their top 8 DJs to advance to the final round. 

8 finalists perform a 2 minute Scratch routine. Judges decide the top 3.
