DMC CLASSIC - The DMC Classic Solo Showcase DJ Competition, established in 1985 is our traditional format that invites all DJs to compete for our most prestigious title, The DMC World Champion. Winner from the LA regional will move onto the USA Finals being hosted in Fall 2024. The DMC Classic USA Champion moves on to the world finals in Paris, France.
DMC LA SCRATCH BATTLE - Established in 2021, this event celebrates the essence of Hip Hop DJing - Scratching. The winner of the DMC LA SCRATCH BATTLE will move onto the Top 10 of the USA Finalists for the DMC Scratch Online. From there, the winning DJ will need to submit a 2-minute showcase online by August 19.
If chosen as the Champion for the USA, the DMC Scratch USA Champion's submission video will then be ranked against the rest of the worl'sd national champions for a chance to compete in Paris France.
