For sheer consistency, nobody does it better than Japan. From the grandmaster DJ Kentaro, to 12 year old champion DJ Rena to five times team champs Kireek – and everyone else in between… one thing is for certain, at every DMC World Final there will be a mighty Japanese presence.

And with this year’s World Finals being held in Tokyo, this year’s DMC Japan Final was all the more important… for the first time ever, DJs from Japan will be crowned in front of their home crowd!

The Final at Womb was another huge success with record numbers. The Classic was won by Marino Hirate who took revenge on last year’s narrow loss to DJ Sora, by outnumbering by two points this time round. The Supremacy was won by

– the current Japanese Champion who eased his way to a. second title. The Scratch was grabbed by DJ Keita with a performance that showed off his incredible sense of timing. DJ Dommy was beaten into second place, a veteran of the battle who has still got a lot to give. And finally, it was Pachi-Yellow who took glory in The Open, smashing Womb with a wide selection of tracks that had to audience in a groove.

But the big question remains – have any of these superb champions got what it takes to win the biggest prize of them all on October 11/12…?
