In one of the closest UK Finals ever witnessed, it was Manchester’s Tommy P-Nuts who again was victorious in Saturday’s battle down in London Bridge. This year DMC teamed up with BeatGeek and their annual weekend of Portablist World Final, tech launches, scratch battles and skate outs. And it was a match made in heaven.
In the end it all came down to 4 turntablists fighting it out for the Classic Final – DJ Rasp, Mr. Big Mouth, DJ Revrt and Tommy P-Nuts, the Defending Champion… who had already secured the Supremacy title earlier in the evening. And with one judge result to come, three DJs were tied in points…it could have either way… but that man P-Nuts had done enough to win and take home the DMC gold trophy, Technics SL-1200M7B Lamborghini and Technics SL-1200MK7 – provided by our good friends at WestEnd DJ. And of course, the most coveted prize of all – the flight and entry to DMC#40 in Tokyo.
“It wasn’t my best set by any stretch of the imagination” admitted the Champion afterwards,
as he was congratulated by the judges – DJ Babu, Jon 1st, DJ Blakey, Ritchie Ruftone and Cutmaster Swift, “But tonight has taught me a lot, and now I am even more determined to take home the Classic and Supremacy in Tokyo."

In a star-studded crowd that included DMC World Champions Prime Cuts and Chmielix - plus first lady of hip hop Sarah Love, the DMC UK Final yet again sent the crowd home happy as one particular DJ from the north started packing his bags…
