Turntablism is coming home

They say that the streets of London are paved with gold - well for one glorious weekend in 2026 these words will ring true, as DJs from around the globe will descend into the city to battle it out for the greatest prize of them all… the hallowed DMC golden turntables.
London was the birthplace of the greatest DJ show back in 1985, when the late Roger Johnson became the first ever World Champion. It has only been in recent years that DMC began hosting the World DJ Championship Finals in other cities around the world, with San Francisco, Paris and Tokyo all recent locations. But for decades before, it was London with it’s musical heritage and street culture that played host to the DJ world’s pinnacle event – creating memory after timeless memory; Ca$h Money changing EVERYTHING with his scratch routine in 1988, DJ David spinning on his head at Wembley in 1991, Craze winning his third title in a row at the Millenium Dome in 2000, Kentaro producing the first ever perfect score in 2002, 12 year old DJ Rena from Japan taking home gold in 2017 – and who will ever forget the C2C and Scratch Perverts battle at the Hammersmith Palais in 2005. Moments etched in DMC folklore forever.

But now all eyes are on the weekend of November 12/13/14/15 and the finals of the Classic, Open, Scratch and Supremacy alongside the DMC Hall of Fame Award ceremony, exclusive parties, pop ups, live showcases and the annual Scratch Sunday.
More than 3000 turntablist fanatics will feast on more than 100 DJs from all over the world at DMC41 – with entrants from every continent on the planet. The 2025 event in Tokyo produced finalists aged 15, 16 and 17 – reiterating the fact that there is no DJ competition on earth more popular than the DMC World DJ Championships.
Over the course of the four days, DMC will take over Camden in North London with events in a series of exciting venues. The Saturday of DMC41 however will see DMC return to its ancestral home KOKO, when this Grade II Listed theatre will host the world’s premier DJ competition for the third time. Will DJ Fummy defend his title he won in Tokyo? Will teen superstar The Kid RC3 make history and return to the United States with his first DMC World Champions Jacket?
“DMC and London will be interlinked forever” says DMC Founder Tony Prince. “We have so many incredible memories from the last 40 years, but the new team have injected new life and passion into the event - which means we will be creating champions and breaking new ground for many more years to come. DMC41 in London will be spectacular. DMC41 will be groundbreaking. DMC41 will set the fuse for the next generation of DJs. London will deliver again.”
London 2026. It’s coming home.
