Forty years ago it was the UK’s  Roger Johnson (RIP) who lifted the first golden DMC trophy aloft at The Hippodrome in London. Since that legendary night in 1985, the world has stood in awe as Turntablism became an art form and bedroom DJs became stadium fillers. From an idea in one man’s head to over 250,000 DJs in over 100 countries  entering the world’s number one  DJ competition over five glorious decades.

#DMC40 takes place in Tokyo, October 10-12 - when the land of the rising sun plays host to the greatest DJ show on earth. And what a weekend we have…
